Sullia, Oct 7: Police are seeking assistance from the public to apprehend a warrant accused who escaped from a hospital during a medical check-up.

Koli Karan, a Tamil Nadu native accused in a theft case that occurred years ago in Kallugundi, had been evading court appearances and was in hiding. He was arrested on Saturday, and before being presented in court, he was taken to Sullia Government Hospital for a medical check-up, from where he managed to escape. Despite efforts, the police have been unable to trace him.

The police are now requesting the public to report any information regarding the whereabouts of the accused. The search efforts on Sunday also proved unsuccessful.
