Kundapur: Poster unveiled for B Appanna Hegde's 90th birthday celebrations

Kundapur, Oct 4: The B Appanna Hegde Janmadinotsava Samiti and Basrur Appanna Hegde Prathishthana, Basrur, unveiled the poster for the public celebration of B Appanna Hegde’s 90th birthday, scheduled for Dec 24. The event was held on Friday evening at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple, Basrur.

K Suryanarayana Upadhyaya, former administrative religious scholar of Anegudde Sri Vinayaka Temple, who unveiled the poster, emphasized the importance of human life, calling it supreme. He stated that by serving society, one fulfils a debt to the divine, thus receiving blessings. He praised Appanna Hegde for his exemplary public service, highlighting his contributions to religious, educational, and social sectors.

MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi remarked that Appanna Hegde is a living example of integrity, whose values and service stand as a model for all.

B Appanna Hegde, administrative religious scholar of Sri Mahathobar Mahalingeshwara Temple, shared that his life's success is rooted in constant engagement in activities and service to the public, which earned him widespread love and respect.

Former MLA Gopal Poojary, Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple committee president Babu Shetty, businessman Gilyaru Uday Kumar Hegde, and Ramrathan Hegde were present at the event.

During the occasion, Appanna Hegde congratulated newly elected Kollur temple management committee president Babu Shetty, along with members Surendra Shetty and Raghuram Devadiga Aluru.

Journalist K C Rajesh hosted the event. Basrur Agricultural Cooperative Society vice president Vikas Hegde welcomed the gathering. Vasanth Gilyaru delivered the introductory address, and Narasimha Poojary offered the vote of thanks.
