Bantwal, Sep 29: R Upendra Shetty, president of the Bengaluru Universal Group of Institutions, stated that the All Cargo Logistics organisation and Bunts Sangha of Bantwal have set an exemplary model by distributing scholarships on a secular basis.
He spoke during the scholarship distribution ceremony held on Sunday, September 29, at the Bantara Bhavana in Brahmarakootlu, organised by Bunts Sangha Bantwal (R) in collaboration with Shashikiran Shetty, president of Mumbai All Cargo Logistics.
He emphasised that in a changing era, students' thought processes should also evolve positively. "When we cultivate the mindset that the sky is the limit, achieving success becomes easier. Continuous effort, dedication, and education will protect us, but compassion and faith must also accompany us," he remarked.
Chandrahasa D Shetty, president of Bantwal Bunts Sangha, presided over the event and delivered the opening remarks.
Chief guest D Neelratan Shinde, senior general manager of All Cargo Logistics, praised Shashikiran Shetty and his wife, Aarti, for their commitment to social development by investing their company's profits into such initiatives. Several talented students and achievers were honoured during the event, and Savishtar, a representative of All Cargo Organisation in Mangaluru, was also recognised.
Former president of the Sangha, Vivek Shetty, introduced the guests, while founding president Kiran Hegde honoured them. Other prominent attendees included joint secretary Ranjan Kumar Shetty, joint treasurer Pratibha A Rai, Women’s Wing President Rama S Bhandari, and scholarship management director H Sankappa Shetty.
The Sangha's secretary, Jagannath Chouta, welcomed everyone, and treasurer Lokesh Shetty delivered the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Kodaje Balakrishna Alva.
During the programme, scholarships worth approximately Rs 45 lac were distributed to around 1,200 students from the Bunt community and various other communities.
