Sullia: Sudden truck movement while securing tarpaulin, near-tragedy averted

Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (MS)

Sullia, Sep 28: A truck fully loaded with rubber sheets from a godown at Gurumpu on Aletty Road suddenly moved downhill, crossed the main road, and fell into a roadside ditch on Friday.

Fortunately, there were no vehicles or pedestrians on the road, preventing a major tragedy.

The driver had been securing the tarpaulin on the fully loaded truck when it began to move. He managed to save himself by jumping from the top of the vehicle.

Had the truck moved further from the trench, it could have caused severe damage to nearby houses.
