Udupi: Byndoor Web Portal to be Launched on Nov 27

Udupi, Nov 23: “In order to explore the tourism potential of Byndoor, which is known for communal harmony and to share events of the place with the rest of the world,www.byndoor.com will be launched on Sunday November 27,” said Dubai Karnataka Sangh former president B G Mohandas.

Addressing media persons at the press meet held here on Wednesday November 23, he said that Byndoor is a small town that is known for the communal harmony among people of diverse cultures and religions. It has the potential to become a full-fledged taluk centre which lies in close proximity to the famous Mookambika Temple in Kollur. A church located on a hillock, a mega mosque, a tourist centre set up by the forest department at Ottinene, Netrani hillock onto the north, and Maravante beach onto the south all add to the beauty of the place.

These places are popular among local and outstation tourists and the region was known as Bindupura where the historical Seneshwar Temple was located during the reign of the Chalukya dynasty.
 
Many natives of Byndoor are settled or working abroad. In order to share local news, www.byndoor.com will be launched at Byndoor Rotary auditorium on Sunday November 27 at 10.00 am.
