Puttur: Auto Rickshaw Driver Electrocuted

Puttur, Nov 22: Ajit (25), an auto rickshaw driver by profession, was electrocuted on Monday November 21. The incident occurred at Kumbra near here.

Ajit was scaling an electric pole for setting up a temporary shelter, when live cable fell on him. He suffered serious injuries in the incident, and died while being taken to a hospital.

An electrician named Munna from Kumbra also suffered injuries in this incident. He is being treated in a hospital here.

Rural police station personnel from the town rushed to the spot and took up investigation.
