Mumbai's Bharat Co-operative Ltd holds 48th annual general meeting

Mumbai (RBI), Sep 6: Bharat Bank is advancing with strong steps in tandem with modernity. It operates as a credible institution, earning customer trust through transparent services. The bond between the customers, bank board, and staff has grown stronger, propelling the bank toward success, said Suryakant Jay Suvarna, executive president of Bharat Bank.

On Thursday, September 6, Suryakant inaugurated and presided over Bharat Bank's 48th AGM held at the Bridge Vasi Palace Auditorium in Goregaon East. He emphasized that the bank’s financial stability and capability have further improved, placing it firmly on the path of achievement. The CRAR (Capital to Risk-Weighted Assets Ratio), which indicates financial stability and efficiency, stands at 13.70%, demonstrating the bank’s sound status.



Committed to delivering modern, secure, and efficient banking services, the bank continues to adapt to the ever-changing banking landscape. For the upcoming fiscal year, Bharat Bank will prioritize small retail savings transactions and will further strengthen the repayment process, Suryakant added.

Bank’s vice president Somnath B Amin, directors Bhaskar M Salyan, Gangadhar J Poojari, Chandrashekhar S Poojari, Ashok M Kotyan, Mohandas J Poojari, Naresh K Poojari, Niranjan Lakshman Poojari, Santosh K Poojari, Dayanand R Poojari, Ganesh D Poojari, Harish V Poojari, Narayan L Suvarna, Suresh B Suvarna, Asha R Bangera, Jayalakshmi P Salyan, Albagan C Harijan, Gaurish R Kotyan, Jayashree M Hejjadi were present on stage.

Shareholders and members Shashidhar U Kapu, Shevantilal Chimanlal Shah, Dharmesh S Salyan, Dr Prakash Moodbidri, OP Poojari, Soukath Wal, Hariram Chaudhary, Padmanabh A Poojari, Sanath NR, Krishnamurthy Seshan, Divakar Salyan, Jayaram Subrahmanya, Omprakash, Dr Satish N Bangera, Nilesh Sarang spoke on behalf of the shareholders, offering suggestions and wishing the bank further success.

Executive president Prajwal J Poojari, members Ashok K Kotyan, Nityanand D Kotyan, and senior managers Vishwanath G Suvarna, Mahesh B Kotyan, Satish M Bangera, among other senior officials and numerous shareholders, attended the meeting.

Assistant manager Yashodhar D Poojari led the prayer session. A moment of silence was observed in memory of deceased members and well-wishers, praying for their eternal peace. Director and CEO Vidyanand S Karkera oversaw the proceedings and conveyed best wishes. Joint managing director Dinesh B Salyan expressed gratitude.
