Mangalore, Nov 16: The shifting of the Hampanakatta branch of Karnataka Bank to its new premises and the opening of the 300th ATM was held on the ground floor of Samudaya Bhavana, Maidan East Road, opposite Town Hall, on Tuesday November 15 at 9.30 am.
Inaugurating the branch, deputy speaker Yogish Bhat said that the role of banks in the development of this nation is noteworthy. “Karnataka Bank is known among the common people and they have great trust in this bank, thereby turning it into a family’s bank,” he said. Bhat added that their products and schemes are useful to the people.
P Jayaram Bhat, managing director of the bank, presided over the programme. General managers Jayaram Hande, Upendra Prabhu, B Ashok Hegde, Shivaswamy Aithal, and MSS Karanth were present on the occasion.
Dr Anandarama Upadhya C, assistant general manager, Mangalore region, welcomed. Laxminarayana Kamath S, branch manager, delivered the vote of thanks.
