Mangaluru, Aug 22: Fiza by Nexus celebrated India's maiden National Space Day on August 23 in the mall. This momentous occasion is being observed in conjunction with the ongoing Astrokids event at the mall, which runs until August 25.
Addressing the audience through a video conference, the ISRO deputy director Satish Mishra said, “Space technology is the next big future and this need young scientific minds.”
Speaking on the occasion, the centre director, Aravind Shrivastav said “This event is first of it’s kind in Mangaluru and Fiza by Nexus would like to be part of innovation always.”
Assistant general manager of the mall Sunil said, “Astrokids is a unique exhibition featuring scale and miniature models of India's iconic spacecraft by ISRO, also offering children a hands-on experience with various science engagement activities related to astronomy.
The event has already sparked immense interest among young space enthusiasts and promises to continue inspiring curiosity and learning throughout its duration” he said.
“Today’s Space Day celebration event by Fiza by Nexus Space day is the first open public celebration of Mangaluru,” added Venu Sharma, consultant.
Anisha, Ullas, students and teachers of different schools were present in the celebration.
