Udupi, Aug 22: The Construction Workers Federation of India (CWFI) will hold its 70th All India Executive Committee meeting at LICO Bank auditorium from August 29 to 30.
Shekar Bangera, president Centre for Indian Trade Union (CITU), addressing media in the press meet held on August 22, said, “This is for the first time All India Executive Committee meeting happening in Udupi and for the second time in Karnataka. More than 120 leaders representing all the states from Kashmir, Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Assam and Manipur in Northeast India, organizing around 15 lac building and construction workers will participate in this three-day meeting.”
The CWFI organized a three-day all-India meeting in Udupi as part of shaping the next movement. The women sub-committee meeting will be held on August 28 and the executive committee meeting will be held on August 29 and 30.
The inauguration of the meeting will be held on August 29 at 4 pm near Ajjarkad War Memorial. All India president Dr Hemalatha, principal secretary U P Joseph, CITU State General secretary Meenakshi Sundaram, Karnataka State building and other construction workers federation president Balakrishna Shetty and secretary K Mahantesh and others will participate in the meeting.
Honorary president Balakrishna Shetty, treasurer Shashidar Golla, vice president Suresh Kallagar, secretary Subhas Nayak, and vice president Kaviraj, were present in the press meet.
