Bantwal, Aug 18: Ananthadi village of the taluk extended a warm welcome to the recently elected BJP MP from Mangaluru, Capt Brijesh Chowta, on Sunday, August 18, in the morning. This marks his first visit to the area since his election as the MP for Mangaluru constituency.

The reception took place at the Goli Katte Circle in Ananthadi village.

The event was attended by several key figures, including Chennappa Kotyan, the president of Bantwal BJP Mandal, and Dinesh Amtoor, the district BJP secretary. Also present were Sanath Kumar Rai Ananthadi, president of the Mandal BJP Kisan Morcha, and Pushparaj Chout Mani, the vice-president of Mandal BJP.

Nagesh Bhandari Karink, chief secretary of Mani Mahashakti Kendra, and Shivaram Shetty Ananthadi, along with Jeevan Peraje, who oversee social media for the Mandal, were also in attendance.

Panchayat president Sujatha Suresh Poojari Bakil and vice-president Sandhya, along with Shakti Kendra chief Mahabala Poojari Bakil, were present to greet the MP. Other notable attendees included Narayana Shetty Tota, Shakeela Krishna, Ganesh Poojari, Taniyappa Gowda, Geetha Chandrashekar Goli Katte, Kusumadhara Gowda, and Kiran Poojari.

During the reception, party officials welcomed the MP with party shawls and garlands. Women from the village performed an aarti and applied tilak as part of the traditional welcome ceremony.

The event showcased the strong support and enthusiasm of both the local community and party leaders for the newly elected MP.
