Udupi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind donates medicines worth lacs to eligible patients at district hospital

Udupi, Aug 15: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has donated medicines worth lacs of rupees to eligible patients at the Udupi District Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, district surgeon Dr H Ashok expressed his gratitude, stating, "The organization has responded to our request and provided essential medicines, computers, and other necessary items. Their efforts are commendable, and we hope for continued support in the future."

Idrees Hoode, representing the organization, said, "Our organization has always been committed to assisting those in distress. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we distributed ration kits, facilitated last rites, and provided all possible aid. Our volunteers also participated in rescue operations during the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. Now, we have made an effort to supply the required medicines to the district hospital for eligible patients."

Also present on the occasion were Azeez Udyavar, Nisar Uppinakote, president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Udupi chapter, Dr Nikhil Shetty, social activists Nityananda Olakadu, Azeez Udyavar, businessman Muhammad Siraj, and Prof Abdul Azeez.
