Margao: Buyao Theatres to Release Patriotic CD 'Swantra Goa'

Margao, Nov10: The Buyao Theatres Goem has produced a patriotic song collection to offer Goan people songs which reminds of sacrifices and hardship of our martyrs.

The Patriotic CD Swantra Goa will be released will be released by chief minister Digamber Kamat at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on November 20 at 10.00 am.

The album consists five Konkani and three Marathi songs. 

Vice president of Ravindra Bhavan Shridhar Kamat, Chairman of OBC Girish Chodanker, GPCC general secretary Vijai Sardesai, director of Information and Publicity Department Menino Peres are also expected to be present at the release.

As Goa celebrates 50 years of its liberation, many programs are held and Sidhanath Buyao has conceptualized the album to mark the same.

Buyao opined that patriotism should be in the heart of every citizen and generations coming should know how our martyrs fought for independence and it can be done through the medium of music and literature.

The album is the first home production of Buyao Theatres Goem after the establishment of their recording studio in Mumbai. The music of the album is played by noted percussionists and violinist with Bollywood and Saregama fame musicians.

Sidhanath Buyao has selected the lyrics of noted lyricists Ramdas Prabhu, late Manoharrai Sardesai and Goemshahir. Others who penned songs for the album Swantra Goa include Lyricist John Aguiar and Sanjay Borkar.

Ulhas Buyao has given music for the album. Noted Bollywood playback singer Swapnil Bandodkar, Nephie Rod and Sidhanath Buyao have lend their voice for Swantra Goa.
