Beltangady, Aug 3: A tragic incident occurred near Seed Farm Road belonging to the agriculture department of the city on Friday August 2, when a woman slipped and fell into the well of her own house, resulting in her death.
The victim, Sumalini Jain (63), was the wife of Jeevandar Padivala, a retired bank employee.
Sumalini is survived by her husband, son, and daughter. Local ambulance driver Jaleel retrieved her mortal remains from the well.
A case has been registered at the Beltangady police station in connection with this incident.
