Udupi, Aug 2: Kundaprabha and Manipal Universal Press (MUP) have announced the launch of "Footprint on the Sands of Time," authored by Dr Umesh Bhat. The event was held on Sunday, July 28, at 4 pm at the Rotary Laxmi Narasimha Kalamandira, Govt Junior College, Kundapur.
Dr Murali Mohan, an eminent dental surgeon from Mangaluru, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He released the book and shared his insights on the significant contributions made by Dr Bhat through his literary work.
Dr Rajgopal Shenoy K, professor, Department of Surgery, KMC Manipal, was present to honor the event. He remarked, "This book is a testament to the enduring human spirit and the timeless nature of our experiences. It captures the essence of life's journey and reflects on the indelible marks we leave behind."
The guests of honour for the event included Dr Santhosh Pai, retired professor and surgeon, Melaka Manipal Medical College, Malaysia; Jalaja Tholar, entrepreneur, Kundapur; and Mahalakshmi Somayaji, teacher, Viveka Girls High School, Kundapur. Dr Umesh Puthran, medical director of Chinmayi Hospital, Kundapur, introduced the book. He remarked, "Dr Umesh Bhat has seamlessly blended his professional insights with his literary talent, creating a remarkable work that delves into the depths of human experiences, emotions, and memories."
