Udupi, Aug 2: The inauguration of Sri Krishna masotsava, which will be held from August 1 to September 1, was held under the auspices of Sri Krishna Math, Paryaya Puttige Math at Rajangana on August 1.
During the inaugural ceremony Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji, blessed the occasion and emphasized the importance of reciting the mathra. He stated, “Confusion is a constant in daily life. The mantra ‘Krishna Yogeshwaraya Namha’ is the most effective way to overcome it. It is important to guide children correctly from an early age. The Bhagavad gita, is the greatest cultural treasure of our country. ‘Yogeshwaraya Namaha’ is the mantra that motivates us when we are confused. By observing Sri Krishna Janmashtami for an entire month, we can determine the need for celebrating other Jayantis.”
“It is better to clean the ground and water before it gets polluted. Similarly, daily worship of Lord Krishna is essential. Lord Krishna should be worshiped daily. Attempting to undermine religion and culture can lead to extreme weather conditions, such as excess rain or drought. Just as Krishna Leelotsava is celebrated daily at home, it should also be nurtured within the mind," said Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji.
Paryay Sri Sungunendra Theertha Swamiji, remarked, “Krishna Janmastami is a great festival. The Lord Krishna manifests in various forms to fulfill our needs.By worshipping Krishna, we can achieve all our goals. The Krishna Avatar encompasses everything in one place and is especially relevant for people in kali Yuga.”
Swamiji further said, “Prime Minister wished to visit Krishna Math, but due to security issues he is not able to make the trip. Although Lord Krishna wants to come to earth, there is a security as 75 percent of earth is filled with negativity. Therefore Lord Krishna remains in the realm of Dwapara Yuga and extends his blessing to us. His presence fulfills everyone’s desires, and his avatar should be celebrated.”
Bhandarkeri Math, Vidyesha Theertha Swamiji, stated about Karmayoga, Jnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. He encouraged people to engage in the festivities and immerse themselves in lord Krishna’s love. He emphasized that a pure mind and good deeds are essential, as they cleanse the mind.
