Mangaluru, Jul 29: KPCC chief secretary Inayat Ali visited Katipalla village in Suratkal Hobali, which was severely affected by high-velocity winds and rain on Thursday.
Ali consoled victims from nearly 30 houses and distributed compensation from his I Am Foundation funds.
He also inspected Karunya Educational Institute, which was heavily damaged by the rain, and met with the school’s head. Ali assured that the government would provide maximum compensation. Additionally, he visited the home of Ayesha Haiza, a student injured by falling tiles at the school, and provided medical expenses and compensation to her family.
Ali met with the revenue inspector to gather complete information on the situation in Suratkal Hobali and instructed him to take action before Monday. He also spoke with Mescom officials, offering government assistance and urging them to restore electricity by Monday.
Among those present were Shameer Katipalla, state secretary of the minority unit, former corporator Gulzar Banu, Ayaaz Krishnapura, Sattar Krishnapura, MUDA member Abdul Zaleel Badriya, zonal president Kamal Chokkabettu, Yousuf, Moideen Chokkabettu, and MCC nominated member Kishore Shetty.
