Mumbai, Jul 22: The Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industries (IBCCI) has taken a significant step to encourage the youth in the Bunts community to become job creators by appointing new office bearers to key positions. These appointments mark a pivotal moment in the organization's efforts to enhance its mission and strengthen its community impact.
In a glittering function held at Hotel Suncity, Andheri East, Mumbai, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, approximately 100 young entrepreneurs and professionals from the Bunts community gathered to celebrate the occasion.
IBCCI chairman KC Shetty, vice chairman S B Shetty, and general secretary Srinath Shetty addressed the audience. The newly appointed president of the Indian Bunts Law Forum, Prabhakar Shetty, and Dr Vijeta Shetty, principal of Vivek College, also spoke at the event.
Prabhakar Shetty offered to work closely with the Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce to provide legal services through its network of 125 advocates in India. Dr Anil Menon, faculty member at SP Jain College and director of UKS, spoke on "Scaling Up of Family Business," followed by a Q&A session with the Bunts youth.
The newly appointed IBCCI Youth Wing Committee includes:
- Jeekshith K Shetty, managing director of Bhavani Group (convenor)
- Alok Shetty, entrepreneur (president)
- Praveer A Shetty, director of Indian Organic Industries (vice president)
- Trishika Shetty, chartered accountancy candidate and avid marathon runner (secretary)
- Sachin Shantaram Shetty, director of Suncity Group of Hotels (joint secretary)
- Jeenanath Dharmaraj Shetty, startup investor (advisory board member)
- Karthik Shetty, director of Lumens India Pvt Ltd (advisory board member)
- Hitesh Shetty, president of Bombay Industries Association (advisory board member)
Vision for the Future: These appointments reflect IBCCI's dedication to fostering innovation, inclusivity, and community engagement among the Bunts Next Gen Visionaries. Under the leadership of the new office bearers, IBCCI is confident in its ability to continue making a positive impact and advancing shared goals. The launch of the Next Gen Visionaries will help connect with Bunts youth and strengthen the organization to create more impact. Heartfelt congratulations are extended to Alok Shetty, Praveer Shetty, and Trishika Shetty on their new roles, with an eagerness to achieve greater heights together for the Bunts Next Gen Visionaries Conclave.
Vice chairman S B Shetty announced the event calendar for 2024-2025 as follows:
- 14th September: Knowledge Summit, covering topics on Ethical Business and IPO for MSME industries, to be held at Bunts Sangha Auditorium.
- 20th November 2024: Business Tour to Dubai, visiting a minimum of five industries, and the announcement of the opening of the Dubai Chapter office of the Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
- January 2025: Bunts Awards Function for excellence in entrepreneurship in Mumbai and the Bunts Trade Fair at S M Shetty School Grounds.
