Mangalore, Nov 2: By putting forth various demands like curb on price rise, approval of strong Lokpal bill, fertilizer to farmers at reasonable price, curb on foreign investment on retail trade in order to safeguard the interest of small shop keepers, CPI(M) DK district committee held a protest in front of the DC’s office here on Wednesday November 2.
Addressing the protestors, B Madhava, secretary, said that the Government has failed to gain the trust of people who voted for them. Price rise, corruption, threat of corporate companies, unemployment issues are not addressed by the Government. Ministers are staying in queue to go to jail. There is worst governance in the nation now, he lamented.
Nationwide protest will be organized by CPI(M) Central Committee from November 1 to 7.
