London, Oct 27: Speaking about the upcoming Indian Grand Prix, McLaren Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton said that the Grand Prix this time is all set to be a "big deal" in the country.

Hamilton added that it was least expected that many people would be aware of Formula 1, in a cricket-crazy country. He said, "There is already a great deal of knowledge about the sport - I think it's going to be a big deal."

He adds saying, "I think the whole country is ready for something new and exciting".

Hamilton further said that it would not be his first trip to India as he had been here on a few promotional events for Vodafone. Speaking about his experience with his fans, he said, "We did a demo run in Bangalore and were expecting 5,000 people to trun up. But on the day there were around 40,000 fans - it was just incredible."

The Indian Grand Prix will be held at the Buddh International Circuit, New Delhi on October 30.
