Udupi, Jun 12: 'Anuswara', Udupi diocesan audio – visual facility was inaugurated on Wednesday June 12, at Anugraha, Udupi diocese pastoral centre.
Dr Francis Serrao, bishop diocese of Shimoga inaugurated the new audio-visual facility. He was accompanied by Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop diocese of Udupi; Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves, vicar general diocese of Udupi; Dr Fr Sudeep Paul, director Sandesha; Fr Alwyn Sequiera, editor Uzwaad; Fr Vincent Crasta, director Anugraha pastoral centre and Fr Denis D’Sa, director commission for social communications and other priests.
Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop diocese of Udupi conducted the prayer service and blessed the new facility.
Dr Fr Sudeep Paul, director Sandesha Udupi, Fr Alwyn Sequeira, editor Uzwaad were honoured on the occasion for their immense work in setting up the new facility.
Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, bishop diocese of Udupi on the occasion said, “A lot of efforts has been invested in setting up this new facility here. Fr Romeo Lewis had done the initial work which was completed by Fr Alwyn Sequeira later. Fr Alwyn has worked tirelessly for the past 8 months for this facility to come into reality. High quality equipment and instruments have been included to facilitate the smooth flow. With the digital and modern advancements in media and technology we need to upgrade ourselves and adapt these technologies for evangelization.”
Fr Denis D’Sa, director commission for social communications on the occasion said, “Today we are in the AI world. Amidst this development there is a need to change and adapt to new things. Keeping in mind the values of humanity and evangelization, these types of audio-visual facilities are a handful for this. The facility can be used for religious or social activities.”
