Mumbai, Jun 2: Gopal C Shetty, MP of Mumbai north parliamentary constituency, who went to Ayodhya with his family and made darshan of Maryada Purushottam Bhagawan Sri Ram at Sri Rama Bhandra religious programme held on Saptaha grounds near Kandivili Poyisaar Gymkhana on the evening of Saturday.
In Sri Rama Mahaprasada (Bhandara) programme that was held in coordination with Ermal Harish Shetty, BJP vice president of North Mumbai by Gopal C Shetty (MP), chief of Tulu-Kannadigara Abhimani Balaga, Garbha queen Phalguni Patak team presented 'Ek Shyaam Sri Ram Ke Naam' bhajan programme.

Vedamurthy Venkatramana Tantri and Vedamurthy Daregudde Srinivasa Bhat conducted Pooja rituals in the temporary Sri Rama temple that was built in the premise and distributed Theertha Prasada to the devotees.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Gopal C Shetty said, “The Mahaprasad of Sri Rama that is distributed here today is the prasad of your efforts. This is the emblem of the survival of Sanatana Dharma." He recalled his old memories of Ayodhya and said that he went to Ayodhya in 1990 as a Karsevak. In 1991 he went by foot on 300 km journey and visited Ayodhya and got imprisoned in Naini prison. He also recalled that he was a witness to the destruction of Babri Masjid in 1992. He said that by getting darshan of Ayodhya Sri Ram his dream of Ram Rajya is realized. "I am rejuvenated after seeing Bhagawan Sri Rama idol that is installed," he said.
