Mumbai, Oct 20: For the first time, the Bhatkal Muslim Jamath hosted Eid Milan in Narang House near gateway of India, here.
The programme started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiz Mohammed Junaid. Shakeel Kharuri recited hamd. The welcome speech was given by Younus Sukri.
The chief guest of the occasion was Arif Naseem, minister of minority affairs of the government of Maharashtra. Speaking on the occasion, he praised the hospitality of Bhatkali people and said that he was very much impressed with the lifestyle of the Bhatkal community when he visited Bhatkal.
Several events like a comedy show, drama etc were presented. Later, a young poet from Bhatkal Syed Affan Bafaqqi enthralled the crowed with his poems.
In the lucky draw, the first prize Umra package was won by Abdul Hameed Salamati, the second prize, which was an Iphone 4G, was won by Umar Khalifa, the third prize, a refrigerator was won by Mohtesham Ismail and fourth prize, an automatic washing machine was won by Nashith Khalifa.
Lawyer Mubeen Sokar and Fareed Shaikh were present. Jafer Mohtesham delivered the vote of thanks. Younus Sukri and Naufil Damudi anchored the programme.
