Mangaluru: Lady Goschen Hospital celebrates International Nurses’ Day

Mangaluru, May 16: The Government Lady Goschen Hospital celebrated International Nurses’ Day on Thursday, May 16, honouring 135 nurses for their selfless service.

Dr Durgaprasad, the medical superintendent of Government Lady Goschen Hospital, commended the nurses for their selfless dedication. He expressed that their dedication inspired him to organize such events to honour them.

Guest speakers highlighted the sacrifices made by nurses, who tirelessly work under pressure day and night to care for patients.

Among the attendees were P K Krishna, president of the Government Workers Association; Dr Thimmayya, DHO; Dr Jagadish, RMO of Lady Goschen Hospital; Dr Balakrishna Rao, paediatrician; Rohitakshi, assistant administrative officer; Thresiyamma, Jayanthi, Ashalatha and Dr Shraddha.

The event was hosted by Sumangala.

Following the formal function, a cultural event took place.
