Vice President Dhankar calls and writes extending birthday greetings to D K Shivakumar

Bengaluru, May 15: In a rare gesture, Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar personally made a telephone call and also sent a letter extending his birthday greetings to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Wednesday.

The Vice President made a telephone call to the Deputy Chief Minister to extend birthday wishes. He has also sent a letter on the occasion.

"D K Shivakumar has dedicated his life to serving the country. May God bestow upon him health, happiness and long life. Wishing him a happy birthday," read the letter.

Quickly responding to the birthday greetings from the Vice President, Shivakumar sent a thank you letter to the Vice President.

"I am happy to have received birthday wishes from your excellency. I am grateful to you for remembering my birthday in spite of your busy schedule. I have dedicated my life to serving the people and I will continue to do so in the future with your wishes," read the letter.
