Mangalore, Oct 15: Western Institute of Technology (WIT) recognised by Government of India, IGNOU National university and several US varsities is now accredited by NEBOSH-UK.
WIT with the mission to prepare students to achieve internationally recognised qualification had approached NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health) - UK for centre accreditation and delivery of their internationally recognised qualifications such as International General Certificate.
Courses leading to NEBOSH qualifications attract around 30,000 candidates annually and are offered by over 450 course providers, with exams taken in over 90 countries around the world. Their qualifications are recognised by the relevant professional membership bodies including the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
WIT is the first ever provider to be accredited in the whole of Karnataka and shall start delivery of NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) from November on wards.
NEBOSH IGC would be delivered by NEBOSH approved and extensively HSE experienced visiting foreign faculty Godwin D'Souza and Melwyn D'Souza who are currently providing their professional services in Saudi and UAE respectively.
First batch will be trained with reasonable/unbelievable fees. This course will give Safety students an advantage to get a good safety officer and manager Job in National and International companies
