Mumbai, Oct 13: Maharastra Urban Co-operative Banks Federation Limited presented Excellent Banker Award – 2011 to Bharat Co-operative Bank, (Mumbai) Limited, a multi-state scheduled bank, during their thirty-second annual general body meeting held at Bharatiya Kreeda Mandir auditorium, Wadala here on Tuesday October 11.
The Federation president Sulabatai Khotke presided over the meeting and presented the Award to Bharat Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian and deputy chairman Rohini J Salian, here on Tuesday.
Bharat Bank bagged the coveted Award for exceeding annual turnover of Rs 500 crore. It’s the third successive year, Bharat Bank bagged the Award.
The Federation directors Anandram Adsul, Manohar Mendjogi, Damodar Mazgaonkar, Shyamarao Shinde, honorary chief secretary Arvind Deshpande and Sayali Boir and office bearers of Billawar Association were present at the occasion.
It’s significant that the Bank has been awarded audit classification of A.
The Bank has 39 branches and RBI has given permission to open 11 more branches, said Vasudev R Kotian.
