Mangalore, Oct 12: In the wake of various Christian sects being asked by the police authorities to submit details of prayer gatherings to the police stations immediately, members of Indian Christian Association submitted a memorandum to the governor of Karnataka, H R Bharadwaj in Bangalore on Monday October 10 opposing the move.
Prashanth Jatthanna, founder president of the association, Peter Dantis, secretary, Gladson Karkala, co-ordinator, Micheal Baptis, secretary of Karnataka Christ Union, Dr Rathish Johnson, Sunil Mangalore, Charles Ambler, Udupi district president of the union were part of the delegation.
In a response to the issue, the governor assured that postive steps will be taken on the issue soon.
