Buyao’s Music Mesmerises Konkani Speaking Delhiites

New Delhi, Oct 11: Goans settled in the capital were mesmerized with Konkani music, performed by noted musician and singer Sidhanath Buyao at the Indian International Center, here on Saturday October 8.
 
'Ami Buyanvant' musical evening, organized by 'Goenkarancho Ekvot' and supported by Tourism Department of Goa, in remembrance of late Goem Shahir Ulhas Buyao, was held here in the presence of Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes and Prashant Naik, president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal.

A huge crowd gathered to applaud the performance of Sidhanath Buyao and his team choreographed by Avil and Nach Sobhann group-Mangalore.
 
Noted mimicry artist Manohar Bhingui presented tinge of Goan political leaders act and political situation of Goa which was also well appreciated.

Sidhanath Buyao sang all the hit songs given by his father on opinion poll and his other Konkani music. He started the programme with prelude of devotional track 'Jessu Christa' and 'Deva Mhojea Deva'. 'Mangllurachea Sherant Ek Chedu Dekhila', 'Tya Dia Vadakaden', 'Hanv Baba Nhavaro', 'Maajhe Maher' are all time hit songs and same were appreciated by Goans and Mangloreans present.

Along with Sidhanath  Buyao, singer Akshada Talaulikar and  Saish Palondika entertained the audience. Santosh Lotlikar, Pallavi Buyao gave the chorus. Rajya Sabha Member Oscar Fernandes praised Sidhanath Buyao’s endeavours to take Konkani music to greater heights and congratulated musical team and Goenkarancho ekvot for organizing the musical evening.
 
Suman Kurade, president of Goenkarancho Ekvot gave warm welcome to the Sidhanath Buyao’s musical group when they landed in Delhi. While speaking on the occasion she praised the contribution of Late Ulhas Buyao given to Konkani music field. "Konkani language strengthens our routes. So it’s our responsibility to preserve and promote Konkani language. It’s the time to see whether we are very serious about our mother tongue and we should all work together to flourish it", he said.
 
Maxwell Pereira, former joint police commissioner of Delhi and a Konkani speaking person was present as chief guest for the function. While speaking on the occasion he said he himself associates with Konkani functions to contribute in small way.

Percussionist Yatin Talaulikar, synthesizer player Ashish Raikar, guitarist Santosh Danial, saxophone player Irshad Ahmed, octopad player Deepak Maneikar accompanied Buyao. Anant Agni anchored the progamme. Sound was engineered by Praveen Virdikar.
