Chennai, Oct 9: After 28 matches spread across the qualifiers and the league stage, we finally reach the finals of the 2011 Champions League T20. And it will be a clash between two IPL heavyweights, the Bangalore Royal Challengers up against the Mumbai Indians.
Will Gayle/Dilshan/Kohli continue with their dream batting form or will the likes of Tiwary/Agarwal stand up and be counted at the big stage. Will Malinga provide the inspiration for Mumbai or will it be someone else throwing their hat in the ring? We will find out very soon.
Mumbai Indians have won the toss and elected to bat
Pitch Report: This is the same pitch to one that was used for yesterday's semis. There are a few cracks on the pitch, but that should not worry the batsmen too much. It is not as good as the one last night but it should provide a good contest between the bat and the ball.
Captains' Speak:
Bangalore Captain- Vettori: We would have liked to bat first as well. The pitch might slow down a bit as the game progresses. We have done well in the IPL as well coming back after some early losses and we will look to continue doing the same here as well. We are playing the same team and I am backing them to come good.
Mumbai Captain - Harbhajan Singh: We have played some fantastic cricket so far. We will continue to back ourselves and hopefully we will get the things done. All the boys are excited to be a part of the finals. This is the chance to show the world that we deserve to win. No changes in the team.
