Kundapur, Apr 14: “We are living peacefully due to the Constitution created by Dr B R Ambedkar which has given social justice, equality, freedom and rights. There is a chance to change the constitution itself and there are possibilities of the constitution being challenged by the some individuals. The voters should teach the BJP a proper lesson in the upcoming election,” said KPCC working president and MLC Manjunath Bhandary.
He was speaking at an event held by Youth Congress Kundapur at Shree Durgaparameshwari Kalyana Mantapa in Thekkatte on Sunday. Dr Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations and the meeting of youth Congress workers was inaugurated.
Udupi district youth Congress president Deepak Kotian said that BJP leaders who talk about Hindutva should first light lamp at the the tulsi tree of their houses. “We are also Hindus. But in our house, the work of God, the worship of Gods has come from the past. The excitement over festivals has dropped due to the Modi government's GST policy. We do not need to learn about Hindutva and traditions from the BJP. Do not lose a good parliamentary position by falling prey to false simplicities,” he said.
Dinesh Hegde Molahalli said that voters should be careful not to lose leaders like Jayaprakash Hegde.
