Shivarajkumar was speaking at a meeting of rural Congress workers that was held at Vandse.
Geetha Shivarajkumar said, “The works done by my illustrious father Bangarappa as former CM of Karnataka are well known to you. He provided free electricity to the pumpsets of rural farmers. Give me an opportunity to serve you. I will make an honest attempt to resolve drinking water issue and give more impetus to development of tourism in Byndoor.”
Former MLA Gopal Poojary said, “Backward community people cannot grow in BJP. They sent Pramod Madhwaraj back home. They did not give a chance to Satyajit Surathkal, who fought for Hindutva. In the last election they used new weapons through me and Kota Srinivas Poojary to defeat Vinay Kumar Sorake in the last assembly elections. In this election voters should not get fooled by words of Raghavendra but they should ensure Geetha Shivarajkumar emerges victorious.”
Former MLA B M Sukumar Shetty said, “S Bangarappa's contribution is immense for Karnataka. His daughter is contesting from Byndoor. So we have to make her victorious. I was in Congress for 40 years. I have worked to make G S Achar win. Then I joined the BJP and converted the whole constituency into a BJP stronghold. Now I am back to Congress and I have brought Rs 3500 crore grants to Byndoor. I got the vented dam built for Chakra River at Vandse. I will make all efforts to ensure Geetha Shivarajkumar emerges victorious.”
Vandse grama panchayat president uday kumar Shetty said, “State government has implemented the five guarantees they were promised before assembly elections. If our government assumes power at the Centre it has an aim of implementing 25 guarantees.”
