Udupi, Apr 11: In the rural Congress workers’ meeting that was held on Wednesday at Udyavar in the wake of upcoming Lok Sabha elections, three people including BJP supported gram panchayat member joined the Congress party.
In the meeting that was presided over by rural Congress president Girish Kumar, BJP supported gram panchayat member Freeda D’Souza, Ivan D’Souza and Richard D’Souza were welcomed into the party by offering shawl. Kaup block Congress president Santhosh Kulal and working president Charan Vittal were present.
Social media in-charge Naveen Shetty, Udyavar rural Congress chief secretary Royce Fernandes, leaders Nagesh, Shekhar, Girish, Helen, Lawrence, Nitin, Diwakar, Madhulatha, Asha, Purnima and others were present.
