Mumbai, Apr 8: A conclave of Tulu – Kannadigas was held at Raymond Garden grounds, Thane west on Sunday evening, April 7 under the leadership of former speaker of Panvel municipal council, BJP leader, social worker and convener Santhosh G Shetty.
The conclave of voters of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru and Kasargod in view of the Lok Sabha elections to be held next month was presided over by Maharashtra state minister of public works, Ravindra Chauhan. The dignitaries lighted the lamp, inaugurated the programme and offered floral tributes to the statue of Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj.
Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha candidate Kota Srinivas Poojary, Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha candidate Capt Brijesh Chowta, Kasargod BJP candidate M L Ashwini and MLAs from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts took part.

Tulu Kannadigas from Borivili, Mira Road, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Dombivli, West Mumbai and various other areas in Mumbai, heads of local organizations, entrepreneurs, social workers and Tulu Kannadigas were present in large numbers.
