Udupi, Apr 3: Madhu, a police sub-inspector at Brahmavar police station, led a raid along with other police officials at the residence of rowdy Divakar within the jurisdiction of Hiriadka police station on April 2, acting on concrete information about illegal activities.
During the raid, the police discovered and seized several items, including live bullets, a black cotton pouch, bullets for a shotgun, detonators stored in a plastic pouch, items resembling the teeth and nails of unidentified animals also in plastic pouches, 7.65 mm live bullets for pistols, a 15-inch long wooden butt of an old gun, a hockey stick, steel knives, a long steel dagger, dried ganja in a blue plastic pouch, empty plastic pouches, and spirit stored in a plastic can.
A case has been registered at the Hiriadka police station under various acts including the Arms Act 1959, the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, and the Karnataka Excise Act 1965 in connection with this incident.
