Kundapur, Mar 30: “I have visited Mahashakti, Shakti Kendra, city municipality wards, town municipality wards and rural areas after I was declared as the BJP candidate for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency. I saw the energy of leaders, office bearers and party workers and am confident of winning the election with record margin of votes. In addition, the continuous efforts of leaders and officer bearers of Kundapur mandala and cooperation of Halady Srinivas Shetty, I am confident of getting huge number of votes,” said Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP candidate for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency.
Poojary was speaking at the swearing in ceremony of newly elected president and officer bearers of Kundapur Mandala at the Saraswati Kalyana Mantap of Koteshwar on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Byndoor MLA Gururaja Gantihole said, “Workers of BJP always fight from the grassroot level to create situation that is complimentary to the development of the party. Kota Srinivas Poojary has good rapport with Byndoor constituency and has worked a lot for my victory in the last assembly elections. As such all the MLAs of Udupi are from BJP so it is very easy for Poojary to win this election.”
Mangaluru section in-charge Udaya Kumar Shetty, Kundapur MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna, Kaup MLA Suresh Shetty Gurme, district BJP president Kishore Kumar Kundapur and women morcha state president Roopali Naika also spoke on the occasion.
Suresh Shetty Gopady was sworn in as new president of Kundapur BJP Mandala, Satish Poojary Vakwady as chief secretary, Sudhir K S and various morcha presidents and office bearers also assumed charge.
Rajesh Kaveri, Prithviraj Shetty Billadi, Kadur Suresh Shetty, Kiran Poojary Tekkatte, Surendra Kanchan, Jayasheela Shetty, Praveen Vakwadi, Sandhya Ramesh, Nayana Ganesha, Vittal Poojary Kota, Anita Sridhara, Manjunatha Balkoor, presidents of various morchas, office bearers and others were present.
