Mangaluru, Mar 22: MLA Dr Bharath Shetty has slammed the state government over misuse of taxpayers money for its inability to provide even a single guarantee for everyone and also for Karnataka becoming a safe haven for terrorists under the Siddaramaiah's regime.
Addressing media persons at Mallikate, BJP office, MLA forr Mangaluru North Dr Bharath Shetty said "As you all know, BJP's Lok Sabha candidate is Capt Brijesh Chowta and we have started our work and the problems that we face in Congress State government is the main reason why I am here. Congress came into power by showing guarantee schemes and the Siddaramaiah's government has not been able to provide even a single guarantee completely. But, they run huge advertisement in newspapers regarding the guarantee schemes and waste taxpayers money."
He further added that "They are not ready to bring out a white paper on the budgetary proposals in the second budget. They have failed to fulfill what they had promised in the first budget. No work has been carried out properly by the Congress government. Wherever Congress comes to power developmental activities come to a standstill as they don't have enough money to spend on developmental works."
"They have said in the cabinet meetings that they don't have money for developmental projects, and there is zero development all over Karnataka. When we were ruling, the state enjoyed surplus power but now we don't have power. Many mill workers in Ballari jeans factories have lost their jobs and basically the Congress has failed in policing and administration. The government could not punish those who shouted pro-Pakistan slogas in Vidhana Soudha and they did not even show the will to prove otherwise. This is a state-sponsored Jihadi. Similarly, the Hanuman flag was also removed. The government has also gone slow on the investigation in the Mangaluru cooker blast as they tried to save the blast victim. We had completely stopped illegal cow slaughtering, and now those areas are becoming active. People who oppose them get charged under the Goonda Act. Siddaramaiah's son is working as a shadow CM. Farmers are dying due to the drought. No Congress leader has interacted with the electorate.'
When the media sought MLA's reaction on the state government failure, Bharath Shetty said, "All the sectors need development. There is no water for Bengaluru and fights are happening over it."
Premanand Shetty, Sanjay Prabhu, Sanjana, Vasanth Poojary were present on the occasion.
