Mumbai, Mar 16: Rama Murthy is idol of Kannada departments. Because Dr Rama is an MPhil, PhD through novels. Rama ability to speak officially about the novel in Mumbai. She is doing research on a scholarship from the department of culture, Government of India. It is because of such literature that Mumbai has made a name for itself as a Kannada literature zone. Novels are needed which highlight the factual matter. The novels that accepted the challenge of the Kannada department are trying, said the head of the Kannada department and professor Dr G N Upadhya said.
Today, on Saturday morning, in the seminary of the geography department of Vidyanagari, Kalina, East of Santacruz, in the book release programme organized by the Kannada department of the University of Mumbai, the senior student of the Kannada department, the principal, Dr Rama Udupa’s book 'Mumbai Bioscope' released by the head of Mumbai University Kannada department Dr G N Upadhya.
On this occasion Senior Translator U Venkatraj Rao, Harsha Udupa was on stage, Dr Rama Udupa on behalf of the Kannada department G N Upadhyay draped a shawl and felicitated him with a memento.
Part visiting professor Dr Uma Rama Rao spoke about Uma Rama Rao's book. The book work is a genuine social novel. No problems here. Reading this is the standard. Here is a glimpse of Mumbai's gentle face, she said.
Rama Udupa said that the full credit of this work is goes to Dr G N Upadhyay. These are my experiences and not a life story, she said.
In the programme, Dr Kalegowda Nagawara, Dr Vishwanath Karnad, Devdas Shetty, Mitra Venkatraj, Dr Bharatkumar Polipu, Nityananda D Kotian, Raju Shetty Kolyaru, Ashoka S Suvarna, Petemane Prakash Shetty, Omdas Kannangar, K V R Aital, Mohan Marnad, Ad Amita S Bhagwat, Surendra Marnad, Kala Bhagwat and much other literature were present, who congratulated Rama Udupa.
Kala Bhagwat sang welcome with devotional song. Assistant professor Dr Poornima Sudhakar Shetty welcomed and compared the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
