Mangaluru: Padua College celebrates International Women’s Day

Mangaluru, Mar 15: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, YRC, IQAC, and the Women’s Forum, Padua College of Commerce and Management celebrated Women’s Day on March 9, in the college auditorium.

Fr Arun Wilson Lobo, principal of Padua College of Commerce and Management having presided over the function, Dr Malini Hebbar, principal of Swasthika College, Mangaluru, was the esteemed chief guest for the day. CA Nympha, an alumnus of the college, was the guest of honour. Other dignitaries included Prof Roshan Santhumayor, vice principal and YRC coordinator, Prof Akshatha and Zeena, assistant. YRC coordinators, Prof Thanuja and Deena, Women’s Forum coordinators; and Melita Rosario, Women’s Forum president.

Dr Malini Hebbar motivated the women students to encourage every woman to love herself and to excel in every field they take up.

CA Nympha encouraged students to stay focused on their goals and to overcome all struggles to achieve them.

CA Nympha was felicitated for her achievement in becoming a successful CA.

The programme was compered by Sweedal Sequeira from 1st BCA, and the gathering was warmly welcomed by Stephi from 1st BCom.

The programme was attended by all female students. The programme ended with words of gratitude expressed by Diana from the 1st BCA on the note that women create magic wherever they are.
