Mangalore, Sep 26: The leaving dates relating to Haj pilgrims from the local airport have been revised. As per the new time table, the flights will start operations on October 4 instead of September 29 as announced earlier.
A total of five flights will leave from the city to Madina. The first such flight is scheduled to take off at 20.05 on October 4. The second flight will take off at 21.40 on October 7, the third at 21.40 on October 9, and the fourth at 22.05 on October 10. The last batch of pilgrims from here will leave by a flight at 22.05 on October 11.
On the return route, flights will be operational from Jeddah to the city from November 11 to 15. All these flights will leave Jeddah airport at 2 am and reach the city at 12 pm, said president of Karnataka State Haj Committee, Mohammed Ghouse Basha, president of Mangalore Haj Management Committee, Yenepoya Mohammed Kunhi, and Salim Ambagilu, member of the state Haj Committee, in a release.
