Mumbai, Feb 26: Vishwakarma association held a programme at Gokulanand Hotel auditorium, Dahisar east on Feb 24 to bid farewell to former president of the association G T Acharya and Usha G Acharya couple who will be residing at their hometown after 40 years of meritorious service in the Karnataka Vishwakarma association.
In the programme chaired by Ravish G Acharya, president of the association, former presidents of the sangha, Mahabala A Acharya, Dr K Mohan, Polya Umesh Shetty, Dr Surendrakumar Hegde and Krishna V Acharya who were on the dais, felicitated and congratulated G T Acharya couple.
While G T Acharya has retired after working in a prestigious organization in Mumbai, Usha Acharya is the former customs superintendent.
Former presidents Padoor Janardhan Acharya, Sadananda N Acharya, honorary secretary Sharat Kumar G Acharya, ladies wing president Sujatha G Acharya, Prabhakar S Acharya, Shubha Acharya, Upendra A Acharya, Meera S Acharya, priest Shankardas Acharya, K M Kotian Chitrapu, S K Sunder, B A Narasimha and Shweta P Acharya commended the services of G T A couple and wished them well in the future.
CA Prabhakar Shetty, K P Chandrayya Acharya, Sridhar Acharya Borivali, GT’s son in law, Pradeep R Acharya, former and current office bearers of the association and members wished the GTA couple well. Vice president Ganesh Kumar said that it is not a farewell but an expression of gratitude for the service of G T Acharya.
Vishwakarma association treasurer Baburaj M Acharya, internal auditor Harish G Acharya, ladies wing vice president Veena S Acharya, convener Amita D Acharya and Rajeshwari S Acharya, youth wing president Sandesh J Acharya, vice president Ashwath S Acharya, conveners Sidish D Acharya and Pranav Acharya, former and current office bearers and members were present.
Shivani H Acharya performed a welcome dance. Ladies wing members sang a prayer. Ravish Acharya presented flower bouquet to the guests. Ganesh Kumar welcomed, gave a keynote address and compered the programme. Honorary secretary Prasad Acharya proposed a vote of thanks. Children performed dances.
