Mumbai, Sep 24: “Saraswat Cultural and Recreation Centre, under GSB Sabha of Dahisar–Borivali ®, will be organizing ‘Navaratri Utsav’ here from Wednesday September 28 to Thursday October 6,” said Centre president K R Mallya.
“Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt will bless the devotees by presenting a golden crown to Goddess Durgadevi at 6.00 pm on Wednesday September 28,” informed the Centre’s joint secretary Sanoor Manohar V Kamat.
“Vedic rituals including free offerings twice a day will be held from Wednesday September 28 to Thursday October 6,” informed the Centre honorary treasurer Mohan V Kamat.
A colourful ‘Dandiya’ will be held from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm on all these days. The concluding ceremony will be held at 4.00 pm on Thursday October 6, informed the Centre’s honorary chief secretary M U Padiyar.
He also urged Tulu–Kannadiga people including GSB community members and Konkani-speaking people, settled in the western suburbs, to attend the programme in large numbers.
