Mangalore: Carmel School Students Excel in Various Sports

Mangalore, Sep 22: The students of Carmel English School, near State Bank, Pandeshwar here have excelled in various sports events in the Taluk and District levels recently.

The school team secured the first place in the Taluk and District level under 14 girls’ volleyball and handball matches conducted by the government of Karnataka department of public instruction. The team has been selected for Mysore division.

Reesha Shenoy has secured first place in Taluk level, second place in District and fourth place in the State level Chess competition. She has also been selected for the National level tournament to be held in Madhya Pradesh from September 22 to 28.

The girls have been trained by coach Jamuna and physical education trainer Lorna Gomes.

The school is headed by head teacher Sr Roshan A C.
