Mangalore, Sep 20: A lecherous man identified as Santosh (21), a resident of Shivajinagara in Venur who used to act in a lewd manner when he saw women walking on the road was finally arrested near Junior College in Belthangady taluk.
Santosh lived among thick bushes where he would give vent to his sexual desires. He used to earlier visit and stay in his relative's house in Sude Mugeru, but later he is said to have started living amid the bushes. He would also steal women's clothes from ladies hostel.
Local rickshaw drivers with the help of a few media persons carried out a raid on the bushes and found women's clothes and condoms. However, local people failed to notice him or locate where he got his food from. His unnatural behaviour seemed to suggest a psychological malfunction, people said.
During police interrogation he said that he was a construction worker and revealed that he stole women's clothes from a ladies hostel. He had acute desire for sex, he added.
Police are investigating the case and trying to determine if he's involved in any inter-state criminal activity.
