Mangalore: Mean Act - Mentally challenged Toddler Abandoned at Temple Premises

Mangalore, Sep 17: A mentally challenged girl baby aged about one and half year was found abandoned by her parents at the Glass House located in the premises of Kudroli Sri Gokarnatheshwara temple here on Saturday September 17.

It is assumed that tourists from other part of the state have left away the child since it is mentally ill girl child.

Bunder police are investigating on the matter. The child has been brought to Wenlock hospital in case of any emergency treatment required.

It is also said that the location where the child was found is under surveillance of CCTV camera so that her parents could be traced immediately.

    It is easy for everyone to comment, be the parents of such a child and then you will know how exactly it feels to be the parents for such a child, it is the society and the thinking of all that needs to be changed, so that everyones accepts such children. i am a parent of a specially challenged child, i know how it feels , we need to educate the people around us it is not the mistake of the parents, but i guess they did not have the courage to face the world with this child. May God bless the child. and whoever commented against the parents i request you to come forward and take the child as your own and adopt the child and then you can comment against parents. i as a parent am taking care of my child very well.

    Dear Parents do not loose the faith on God. Request others for prayers and help or even financial help. Take multi Doctor Opinion. Human is cruel on some cases but not all. I am sure we Indians help each other much more than any other part of this World.
    Neighbours come together for help to cure the sickness, if can not help do not filthy opinions. Do not gossip.....

    Very sad incident. parents should not do such a thing after all it is God's gift, we are all children of God. If any part of the body is not proper like poor eyesight, less hearing, will they cut of that part or do away with it. These days the World is becoming more and more selfish everybody is selfish and concerned only of their wellbeing a little discomfort bothers them even if it is their own child. I pray the Almighty that the parents realise their mistake and come back otherwise they will have to face God's judgement after their death.

    It is the worst crime by parents to abondon such an helpless baby. But it is also possible that they had some compelling reasons behind this act. They might have thought it is best for the baby to be under the care of some govt. institutions or some other kind hearted people. If the parents are from a very poor family raising such a baby is very difficult. Unlike in other developed countries where govt. helps financially the parents to raise such babies. So, if govt. brings out some bills safeguarding the interests of these type of helpless babies, then even the poor people may also not abandon their babies in this way.
