Bangalore: Operation Kamala Beneficiaries under CBI Scanner?
Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)
Bangalore, Sep 16: There are thick rumours that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will closely scrutinize the transactions of those who crossed over to BJP through ‘Operation Kamala’.
It is widely believed that former state minister, Janardhan Reddy, spilled the beans about the modus operandi of the said operation, and about the agreement on power, money and such other things that were offered for luring legislators from other parties into BJP fold.
The Reddys were in the forefront of the initial ‘Operation Kamala’, and details of dubious ways owned by his party to snatch gullible legislators from other parties into the BJP fold reportedly have been collected by the CBI.
The operation was conducted to cement the position of the BJP, which was on a shaky wicket then. Reddy is also believed to have given details of tactics owned by the party to win bypolls in these cases, and how much mining money was involved in the operation.
Some sources claim that Reddy, during CBI investigation, provided details about the mining scam. The CBI has already served notices on 16 persons including former minister, Karunakar Reddy, and MLA, Somashekhar Reddy, for visiting its office in Hyderabad for questioning.
