Mumbai: Ravi Ra Anchan’s ‘Tuluvara Yugayatre’ Set for Sep 24 Release

Mumbai, Sep 13: Kannada book ‘Tuluvara Yugayatre’ authored by the metro’s well-known litterateur Ravi Ra Anchan will be released at a function scheduled to be held at Karnataka Sangh auditorium, Matunga (West), at 4.30 pm on Saturday September 24.
 
Chandrashekar Palettady, editor, Kannada daily ‘Kannada Malla’ will inaugurate the function.
 
Lawyer Gunakar D Shetty will preside over the programme. Veteran hotelier Prabhakar N Shetty will be the chief guest on the occasion.
 
B M Basheer, news editor, ‘Vartabharati’ Kannada daily, will release the book. It is the 14th book authored by Anchan and the 51st book published by Bangalore-based Sirivara Publications.
 
The book has indepth study of religious practices and folklore of Tulunadu residents beginning from the Iron Age to this present era.  ‘Bhootaradane’, a distinct religious practice of Tulunadu and its cultural significance also find mention in the book.
