Bellary: After Janardhana Reddy, CBI Swoops Down on his Aides

Bellary, Sep 11: A week after former Karnataka tourism minister Janardhana Reddy was arrested by the CBI officials for his alleged involvement in the mining Obulapuram mining scam, CBI sleuths on Sunday September 11 raided the houses of two of his close aides.
The CBI team led by superintendent of police Venkatesh from Hyderabad raided the houses of Gurulinge Gowda, chairman of the Bellary Urban Development Authority (BUDA) in Renukacharya Nagara and Rajashekara Gowda, a gram panchayat member and confidant of Reddy.
Several documents were seized by the team, it is learnt.
More such raids are on the cards, sources said.
Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivas Reddy were arrested after a surprise raid by the CBI in Bellary on September 5. The same day the two were taken to Hyderabad where the court sent them to 14-day judicial custody.
