Udupi, Dec 31: In response to alleged irregularities in the Brahmavar sugar factory scrap sale transactions, a committee has been established to conduct a thorough investigation.
Addressing the issue with reporters, DC Dr K Vidyakumari stated, "We have formed a committee to investigate the matter. The committee includes the DC, assistant secretary of Sugar, officials from commercial tax, assistant commissioner, Head of a private engineering college's mechanical engineering department, and other members. Given the need for a comprehensive investigation from multiple angles, all these officials have been included in the committee. Meanwhile, a police investigation is also underway."
Discussing the Parashuram Theme Park case, DC Vidyakumari remarked, "Currently, work is not underway at the site. Additional funds are required. The state government has established a state-level committee to investigate the issues related to it. Once the committee submits its report to the government, work will recommence under its guidance," she added.
