Mumbai: George Menezes Gets Life Time Achievement National Award from NIPM

Mumbai, Sep 9:  Eminent senior writer, inspirational speaker and a divergent thinker who lives after his retirement at Bandra here after serving many multinationals has been honoured through Life Time Achievement award by the National Institute of Personnel Management(NIPM) in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

The award recognises his dedicated contributions to HR profession and his efforts in building organizational excellence through initiatives in training sessions which are inspirational and motivational. His contributions to different segments of society for enhancing their effectiveness are highlighted in the citation given to him along with the award.


George Menezes has played an important role as a secular writer and a HR strategic partner in the different stages of growth of his organization. The award was conferred on him in Mumbai.

George Menezes who is famous for his satiric columns also operates his own blog 'George Menace' and his columns are regularly reproduced in 'Daijiworld weekly' by special permission.

    I am happy that Mr. Menezes got this award. I have received one motivational lecture by him way back in 1990 in which he advised to love the work you have got and try to do well in a training session for MRs in Hoechst.

    I am extremely happy to note that George Menezes has been ed for the award by The National Institute of Personnel Management. The choice could not have fallen on a better person than George. Over the years George has been an inspiration to several thousands of people. He is not only a versatile writer but an inspirational speaker with an excellent command of English apart from creditable matter. Naturally A GOOD TREE CAN ONLY PRODUCE GOOD FRUIT. He is the son of that well known Professor MENEZES of repute.

    George was a dedicated father and loving and caring husband too who tenderly took care of his beloved wife Thekla during her last days.

    George has left behind wonderful memories also in Mangalore. He came over here several years ago to conduct lectures on various subjects. I have had the pleasure of having him over to our place in Mangalore who by his eloquence and wit kept my friends occupied in conversation.

    I had also the pleasure of visiting his home on Peder Roadin Bombay and enjoying his hospitality.

    Kudos to you George and keep up the good work.

    I have worked with Mr Menezes when I was with Wallace Pharma, where he was Senior HR advisor. He is an amazing HR professional with a prolific understanding of human nature.
